Today w got up and hiked 10 miles to a trailhead where we got a short ride into a town. One of my blisters looked in danger of infection, and Vance’s knee was still hurting. We decided to take a short day and try to rest up in a hotel for the night.
So far so good. Hopefully we will both be back on the trail tomorrow or the day after.
Today I struggled a lot with the question of if I should stay on trail or get off with everything going on with COVID-19. It was scary getting back into range of the news and what’s going on.
We can only make the best decision with the information we have, and there is no perfect answer. Right now we think we are going to going to continue on, and double our efforts to minimize time in town and contact with people.
